Mt Elgon Farm installs the first 48 kWp, working towards grid-independence.

Mt Elgon Farms near the Ugandan border is a good example of an environmentally consious farm. Besides growing organic avocados, the management has invested in a hydro power plant already some years ago.

To address their concern for an increased carbon footprint to meet their growing power demand, Elgon farm has decided to invest heavily on solar power. In starting this journey, they invested in an initial solar grid system of 48 kWp. This should grow in the near future to 250 kWp.
